Lisbon Travel Fair This Month
Portugal's biggest travel and tourism industry event, the Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa (BTL), takes place this month at the capital's FIL fairground in the Parque das Nações precinct from 21-25 January.
More than 80,000 people are expected to visit the fair, a figure that corresponds favourably with the impressive number of exhibitors taking part, around 800 in all, from places as far afield as Macao, Paraguay and South Africa.
Of major public interest, BTL has plenty of appeal for winter visitors to the capital, providing information and special offers at hotels in every region of Portugal, including the Atlantic islands of Madeira and the Azores.
Another major feature are the food pavilions where visitors can taste the many wines and traditional dishes that Portugal has to offer.
BTL will be open at the following times;
21 Jan: 1pm-8pm (trade only)
22 Jan: 10am-8pm (trade only)
23 Jan: 10am-1pm (trade) 1pm-11pm (public)
24 Jan: 1pm-11pm (trade and public)
25 Jan: 1pm-7pm (trade and public)
Admission tickets cost €5 for individuals, €14 for a family of four and €2.50 for youngsters, students and senior citizens.
